OUR STORY

ICE CREAM IS FUN, SO WE TAKE IT VERY SERIOUSLY.

Families have included Dreyer's in their biggest and smallest moments since 1928. From grandiose reunions to a quiet, rainy Sunday afternoon under the covers - our flavors bring people together.

Moms. Dads. Kids, Aunts. Uncles. And BFFs. You're on our minds. We love dreaming up new ways to surprise you. Tinkering away in our test kitchen - combining real, high quality ingredients. The way we see it, every scoop is a chance to get somebody to stay for dessert, and sweeten the moment.

TWO HEADS ARE SWEETER THAN ONE

Ice cream maker William Dreyer, and candy maker Joseph Edy form a sweet partnership. Together they created Dreyer's and EDY's® Ice Cream. Now that's n-ice cream.

THE INVENTION OF ROCKY ROAD

As the Great Depression hit, Dreyer and Edy wanted to create a special new flavor to make folks smile. They mixed together rich chocolate ice cream, crunchy almonds and chewy marshmallows. Rocky Road was born! In a time when Chocolate, Vanilla & Strawberry were the main available flavors, this was revolutionary!

SWEETENING A NATION

T. Gary Rogers and William F. Cronk buy Dreyer's Ice Cream and head East - achieving mouthwathering success for three decades. Thanks to their grand plan and sense of adventure, Dreyer's and EDY's® Ice Cream erupted smiles from coast to coast. They keep the name Dreyer's west of the Rockies and use EDY'S® east of them, in honor of cofounder Joseph Edy.

REMIXING SINCE FOREVER.

We honor our legacy of reinvention and optimism, by celebrating the ways people remix in their everyday lives. Those who don’t accept what is, but instead create what could be. The innovators, the free-thinkers, and the remixers that make life sweeter.
