Ingredients

Häagen-Dazs® Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoons salt

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon cardamom

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 egg

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup heavy cream

6 tablespoons of melted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon coconut extract

2 cups of canola oil (for frying)

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon cardamom

1/2 cup powdered sugar

Directions

Step 1

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugars, and spices in a bowl and whisk. In a separate bowl, combine milk, cream, melted butter, eggs, and extracts and blend. Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture until the dough comes together (more flour should be added if dough is too wet). Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let sit for 30-40 minutes.

Step 2

Place dough on a floured surface and roll out to 1/2 inch thick. Lightly flour 2 1/2 inch round cookie cutter. Cut out round circles and set aside. Re-roll the scraps of dough to 1/2 inch thick and cut circles. Poke a hole in the center of each donut.

Step 3

Fill a deep heavy pot with oil and turn on high heat until oil reaches 350F. Line a baking pan with paper towels and set aside.

Step 4

Fry 3-4 donuts at a time. Turn the donuts until brown on each side. When brown, transfer donuts to a lined baking pan. Let cool.

Step 5

Dust donuts with cardamom powdered sugar mixture. To serve, place one donut on a plate with one scoop of ice cream, then top with a drizzle of honey.
