This sweet and salty treat was inspired by a South American favorite, and might be your next favorite too.
2 cartons of Häagen-Dazs® Dulce de Leche or Caramel Cone Ice Cream
1-1/4 cups finely crushed pretzels (no larger than 1/4 inch)
2 tablespoon dark brown sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 350F. Combine finely crushed pretzels, brown sugar, and melted butter. Set aside 3 tablespoons for pie topping.
Firmly press remaining mixture on bottom and up sides of a 9 inch pie plate. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned. Cool on wire rack before filling (30 minutes).
While crust cools, thaw Häagen-Dazs® Dulce de Leche ice cream (10 minutes). When the crust is cool, spread ice cream across the bottom.
Sprinkle remaining crushed pretzel mixture on the edge of ice cream and transfer to the freezer for 90 minutes to harden.
